Jackson decided to give basketball a shot this year. I had missed the deadline for soccer sign ups earlier. (Who makes the deadline for for fall soccer sign ups the end of July?) Just the same my lesson is learned. As a result, when the sign up for basketball came home from school I felt I should try and redeem myself and give Jackson the option if he was interested. He was thrilled at the opportunity and became a member of the Sharks basketball team. Jackson turned out to be an incredible deffensive player (maybe it's the competitive streak that makes itself present from time to time that helped). He did well at gaurding and getting the rebounds. There was a bit of a learning curve with the dribbling and running at the same time, but after a season of practicing around the house he and Carter became pretty decent. He even managed to score 1 basket! We as a family had a great time cheering him on although I think Kate & Carter enjoyed making trips to the drinking fountain just as much.
