We have lucked out for our 3rd year in a row we haven't had rain while trick or treating. It will rain all day and then miraculously clear up in time for our ward trunk or treat!! This is also the first year the boys had strong opinions of what they wanted to be. Usually they know what they don't want to be so this was a change. Jackson opted for the ever classic "Indiana Jones".
Carter was the "Blue Knight" . He couldn't be an ordinary knight he was very adamant that he be the blue knight. Kate was our "Little Red Riding Hood" and for Ella's 1st Halloween she recylced Kate's costume from last year to be our "Pretty Pink Princess". Our neighborhood always manages to get several trick or treaters so I do my best and put a big bowl of treats out and hope they will work on the honor system while we head off to the annual ward trunk or treat. It works really well for us. The kids make their big loop and have plenty of treats to last them for the month. Even Ella got in on the fun! Jeff gave her a treat thinking she wouldn't be able to open it, but by the time we returned home she not only opened it, but had it eaten and was asleep. She's a quick worker.
