As a treat for our 8th anniversary, Jeff and I took off to Portland for the weekend without the kids. We have been blessed to find good friends while here in the Washington area that not only we love, but our kids love as well so we dropped them off (thanks Lance and Lexi and Craig, Krisette and girls) and remembered for a bit what it was like when it was just the two of us. As a part of our weekend we participated in "The Great Urban Race". Jeff had done one in Seattle in June and had such a great time that we thought we would try one together. It's a bit of a combination between the amazing race and a photo scavenger hunt. Jeff's sister Kris and brother -in-law Owen did it with us as well. With the help of family and friends at home on their computers, the public transportation system, and great maps we solved 12 clues hit 11 different sites, told 1 joke at a comedy club, ate a great cupcake and well let me just show you. . .
